Awesome place to get breakfast and the price is budget friendly!!!!

The price is right and the atmosphere created by the friendly staff and owners makes you want to take your coat off and stay a while. I dont get out a lot but having lunch here puts me in good spirits. Great place for family, lunch, and Ice cream!

Sweet little mom and pop shop with very friendly service and very low prices. Really enjoyed our coffee stop here en route on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Great Smoky Mountains. Food in preparation smelled delicious. Free street side parking.

Royall's is a place that one can dine in, or take out. They are normally fast, but sometimes can be run behind, if they are slammed. But over all, it's a great place.

Good food great service

Made one final visit to Royall's before they close down. Mom worked there in the late 50's and wanted to eat there one last time. Hate to see it close after almost 100 years.

Had a wonderful day in Elkin with my family. After taking a long hike at the local park, we decided an ice cream was in order. Royall's is a wonderful throw back to the way ice cream shops used to be. They may not have the selection of a baskin robins, but the friendliness of the staff and price were on point. Will def visit this establishment again.

This place has always been one of my favorite places to stop and get some food. You won't get fries, but that's fine because the greatness of the food you can get makes up for it.

This place is amazing! Best hot dogs I've ever ate, the sign says word famous and I believe firmly that they have proofed that. Anytime your around, stop by!!!

Great food and service

It was enjoyable. The hotdogs we're pretty good and the prices were reasonable. The Mountains to Sea Trail runs right in front of the restaurant, making it a family friendly place to stop!The interior is not the most decorative. Half was like an old fashioned diner and the other half reminded me of a second hand store or yard sale.

Fries were good, but Dr. Pepper was watered down. Good service though.

Best hotdogs in the whole U S. Best fries. The greatest old soda shop in the South. I found out they are closing. Sorry to see you go I will really miss this place.

Great place for a quick bite. Told our waitress we were travelling and she had us in and out in ten minutes. Staff is fantastic, gave us a nice small hometown feel. Worth running the extra couple miles off the freeway. They make their pimento cheese in house every day, can definitely tell. Getting the spicy version is risky, only do it if you can handle high quality jalapenos that are actually spicy. Milkshake flavors vary based on current ice cream flavors, shown on the marker board is what they have right now. Classic old style shakes, with actual milk blended in. Place has a definite old mom n pop vibe going on from the food to the decor, down to the roaming train on the wall. Note: Couldnt find their menu online so I took photos to put here.

Had pepper steak, don't get it unless you like to eat steak umm and pay over $6 for it. Roll was not toasted either. Paid over $18 for 2 sandwiches , bag of chips (don't sell ff) and two drinks. Over priced and not worth a lick

I like this little shop. It has a blast from the past theme, downside is you can't get fries or union rings. Chips only.

We stopped in for one of the best hotdogs we have ever eaten!! I was also offered and given a sample of their homemade pimento cheese...delicious! The service and hospitality was above and beyond!
